Academic and structural career

Prof. Dr. Hulman Panjaitan, S.H., M.H. began his career in education as a Tutor since 1990. He was also the Operational Director of the Legal Services & Consultation Bureau “Solidaritas” in Medan. Since 1994, he has been active as a lecturer at the UKI Faculty of Law, Masters and Doctoral Programs in Law. He has served as Dean of the UKI Faculty of Law for two terms (2014–2022).

He is also active in various organizations and holds strategic positions, including:

• Deputy Chairman of the PSSI Ethics Committee (2012-2015)
• Advisory Board of PSSI ASKOT East Jakarta (2018 – present)
• Member of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Agrarian Reform Foundation since (2014-present)
• Member of the Board of Trustees of the State Asset Supervisory Commission Foundation (2015 – present)
• Advisor to the Legal Aid and Extension Institute of the Indonesian Communication Foundation (2016 – present)
• Member of the Notary Supervisory Board of the Central Jakarta Region
• Intellectual Property Consultant – Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia
• Legal Consultant to Several Multinational Corporations and Domestic Investment Companies

Publications & Expertise :

Actively writing national & international journals and reference books. One of his famous works is “Collection of Legal Principles of Supreme Court Decisions of the Republic of Indonesia 1953-2008 Based on Their Classification”.

Often becomes an expert in investigations to expert witnesses in court hearings, especially in Business and Civil Law: Agreements, Consumer Protection, Companies, and Intellectual Property.
